Getting plenty of quality sleep will counteract the stress of what ever your daily life brings. It sounds simple enough, but most people fail to get enough basic sleep let alone quality sleep and that is the way your body recovers from your hard day at work, keeping after the children or the million other ways you spend your waking time!

Smile your way to being stress free. Smiling shows that your are happy. But did you know that smiling can also make you feel happy and relaxed. When you smile you transmit nerve impulses from your face muscle to the center of the brain that tells you that you are calm. If you are feeling overwhelmed or stressed take a minute to smile.

In order to keep your stress level under control, try writing an extremely graphic or obscene letter on paper that releases all of your aggression verbally. Many people feel better after making sense of it by writing it out. Write as though nobody will ever read it, and write as vividly as possible. Destroy it thoroughly afterward.

To lower your stress levels make sure you exercise at least three to five times each week for thirty minutes each session. The exercise can be anything from running and swimming to simply a daily walk. Exercise has the benefit of releasing endorphins, chemicals that enhance your mood, making it a great way to de-stress at the end of a hectic day!

One way that you can attempt to manage your stress is to make a list of everything in your life that causes you anxiety or stress. This is important because after making this list, you will be able to tackle each item one by one and work to completely eliminate all the stress in your life.

A good tip to keep you from getting stressed out is to take breaks when you're working on a difficult task. Forcing yourself to get something done might be a good intention but it's not healthy. Taking the breaks you need will allow you to stay focused and thinking clearly.

These excess circulating hormones, can cause other health problems and it really makes sense to learn useful techniques for controlling, managing or just letting go of stress so that you can get back to enjoying your life.
